# Activate Disney+ with a disneyplus.com/begin Code

> Learn how to activate Disney+ on your TV using an 8-digit begin code at disneyplus.com/begin. Step-by-step guide for all devices.

You can activate Disney+ on your TV or streaming device by entering an 8-digit code at [disneyplus.com/begin](https://www.disneyplus.com/begin). This method is useful when typing a password on a TV remote is difficult.

## Before you start

* Make sure your TV or streaming device is connected to the internet.
* You need an active Disney+ subscription or trial. If you do not have one yet, you can sign up at [disneyplus.com](https://www.disneyplus.com).
* Have a phone, tablet, or computer nearby to enter the code.

## How to activate Disney+

    Launch the Disney+ app on your smart TV, streaming stick, or game console. If you do not have it yet, see [Download the Disney+ app](/setup/download-app).

    On the welcome screen, choose **Log In**. The app will show an 8-digit code on your TV screen.

  <Step title="Go to disneyplus.com/begin">
    On your phone, tablet, or computer, open a web browser and go to [disneyplus.com/begin](https://www.disneyplus.com/begin).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the 8-digit code">
    Type the 8-digit code exactly as shown on your TV. The code is case-insensitive, but enter the letters and numbers carefully.

  <Step title="Sign in to Disney+">
    If you are not already signed in, enter your Disney+ email and password on the website. Do not share these credentials with anyone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm activation">
    After a few seconds, your TV screen will refresh and log you in automatically.

<Tip>
  The 8-digit code typically expires after a few minutes. If the code times out, your TV will generate a new one. Enter the new code promptly.

## What happens next

Once activated, your TV or streaming device will stay signed in to Disney+ until you manually sign out or reset the app. You can start watching right away, browse profiles, and set up parental controls if needed.
