Disney+ lets everyone in your household enjoy their own personalized experience with individual profiles. You can also set parental controls to manage what children can watch and protect profiles with a PIN. This guide covers how to create profiles, adjust content settings, and secure your account.

Add or edit a profile

Each Disney+ account can have multiple profiles, including customized adult profiles and dedicated Kids profiles.
1

Open the profile menu

On the Disney+ home screen, click or tap your current profile icon, then select Add Profile or Edit Profiles.
2

Choose a name and avatar

Enter a profile name and pick an avatar from the available characters. For a child, toggle on the Kids Profile option.
3

Set content preferences

For adult profiles, you can choose a content rating limit such as TV-Y to TV-14. Save the profile when finished.

Kids profiles

A Kids Profile limits the Disney+ experience to age-appropriate content. When this profile type is active:
  • Only titles rated for children are visible
  • The interface uses a simplified design
  • Autoplay settings and certain recommendations are adjusted
To switch a profile to or from Kids mode, edit the profile in Manage Profiles and toggle the Kids Profile setting.

Content ratings and restrictions

You can control the maximum content rating allowed on each profile.
Disney+ uses standard TV and movie ratings such as G, PG, PG-13, and TV-MA. Setting a profile limit to PG-13, for example, hides R-rated movies and TV-MA shows from that profile.
Profile-level ratings restrict content by category. There is no per-title block list on Disney+, but you can lower the maximum rating to prevent access to mature content.
Ad experience depends on your subscription plan. Kids profiles do not change whether ads are shown. To avoid ads, subscribe to an ad-free tier if available in your region.

Profile PIN

A Profile PIN prevents other household members from switching into your profile or changing account settings without permission.
1

Open Account settings

Select your profile icon, then go to Account and choose Parental Controls or Profile PIN.
2

Create your PIN

Enter a four-digit PIN and confirm it. You may be asked to verify your account password first.
3

Require PIN for new profiles

Enable the option to require the PIN when adding new profiles or switching to restricted profiles.
Choose a PIN that children in your home will not easily guess. Avoid birthdays or simple sequences like 1234.

Sign out of all devices

If you suspect someone is using your account without permission, or you have signed in on a public or shared device, sign out everywhere at once.
1

Go to Account settings

Log in to Disney+ on the web and click your profile icon, then select Account.
2

Select log out everywhere

Find the option labeled Log Out of All Devices or Sign Out Everywhere and confirm. You will need to sign in again on every device you use.
After signing out of all devices, update your Disney+ password if you believe your account was compromised. Only enter your credentials on the official disneyplus.com domain.
