If your 8-digit Disney+ activation code is not working, there are several common causes, from simple typos to expired codes. This guide walks you through the most likely reasons and how to solve each one.
This is an independent guide and is not affiliated with Disney. Only enter your Disney+ email and password on the official disneyplus.com domain. Do not share your login details or activation code with anyone.

Common reasons a begin code does not work

1

Check if the code expired

Disney+ activation codes are usually time-limited and expire quickly. Return to your TV or streaming device and generate a new code from the Disney+ app, then enter it right away.
2

Verify you signed into the right account

Make sure you signed in on your phone or computer with the same email address linked to your active Disney+ subscription.
3

Double-check the code you typed

Transpose numbers carefully, especially similar-looking digits such as 0 and O, or 1 and I. The code should be exactly 8 digits.
4

Make sure you are on the real website

Only enter your code and credentials on disneyplus.com/begin. Fake or misspelled URLs can steal your login info.
5

Try a different browser or clear your browser cache

If the page is not responding, switch browsers or clear cookies and cache, then visit disneyplus.com/begin again.
6

Regenerate the activation code

On your TV or device, select the option to activate or sign in. This should display a fresh 8-digit code.
Never enter your Disney+ password or activation code on a website that looks like Disney+ but has a slightly different URL. If in doubt, type disneyplus.com/begin directly into your browser address bar.

Other causes

If your Disney+ subscription has expired or been cancelled, you may not be able to activate a new device. Sign in at disneyplus.com and check your billing status.
Disney+ limits how many devices can be logged into one account at the same time. If you hit the limit, sign out of unused devices in your account settings.
A weak connection can stop the activation process. Restart your router, reconnect your TV or device to the internet, and try generating the code again.
Activation codes are typically single-use. Once entered successfully on one device, the same code cannot be reused on another.
